On those rare occasions where you may find yourself with free time, it can be hard to discover things to do to fill the void. If you cannot find a way to use up your time boredom begins. Boredom can drive people to settle on doing things they did not expect. So, if you are one of those people settling with their boredom, why not do something productive? Here is a list of six things to when you don’t know what else to do:
1. Clean Up Your Social Media Identity
Your social media is something anyone can read. You want your page to represent you, but still look professional. Delete inappropriate pictures or posts. If your social media pages are too much of a hassle to go through, the best decision may be to purge your accounts completely. Provided below is a step-by-step guide on how to disappear online:

2. Search For Internship Opportunities
Internships are a great way to gain experience and something to add to your resume. Internships look good to professionals hiring you and are invaluable in learning what that job field is like. If you do not know what you want to do for your career, internships are a way to test out different job fields without committing to anything. Here are two examples of internship search engines:

3. Clean Up and Update Your Resume
A person should always try to keep their resume updated. A new resume type I recently learned about is called an infographic resume. An infographic resume uses graphics, charts, and writing to represent your information. For example, you can create a timeline to show your work experience. If you are interested in infographic resumes you can also look up examples online for reference.
4. Clean Up and Update Your Cover Letter
Cover letters are something that should have a unique quality for each job you are applying for. However, that does not mean you cannot set up a skeleton to follow for your cover letters. Your cover letter does not need to be an entire page in length. It may help to look up examples of other people’s cover letters. When addressing someone in your cover letter it looks nicer if you use the name of the person who will be reading it. If you do not know the name of the person, it may be better to not address anyone.
5. De-stress
Sometimes when there is nothing to do you should take the opportunity and run with it. Take sometime for yourself that you may not other wise have. Relax and take a day to sleep in. Go for a walk and enjoy the roses. A healthy mentality is key. #451
Great advice. Always good to be going in the forward direction. Thanks
