The Spring Edit

spring

Spring is perhaps the most exciting season for experimenting with your makeup – the flowers are blooming, the temperature is (hopefully) rising, and you can finally ditch the maroons and blacks in favour for pastels and pretty patterns. Here at Scriptoeris our spring makeup style is a bit varied, and today we want to explore two classic makeup approaches to brighten up your life…

Play it safe with pastels…

Many of us are particularly partial to keeping in line with the classic spring-themed colour palette. A mixture of pastel pinks, mint greens and glowing skin make our hearts simply flutter with joy. There’s no denying that you simply can’t go wrong with a bubblegum pink blush and a lilac nail polish – so dig those pastels out and dust them off ASAP.

Dare to wear…

For those more daring and willing to stray from the usual pastel colour palette, Spring is a great time to express yourself and add a bit of colour to your life! If you’re willing to give it a go, nothing shakes off the winter blues like a beautiful bold magenta lip or a strong cat-eyed liner. Pair that with a bright nail colour of your choosing or a bold orange lip and you’re good to go.

So here’s a question for you, fellow Scriptoeris girls – do you prefer to stick to the classics or are you prepared to push the boat out and pull off that electric orange lip? Let us know at @Scriptoeris!
