- Disconnect. You need to be mindful of the moment and whatever you are carrying out. Rather than checking your social media on the train, read a book. Engage with the people around you, everyone in your life can teach you something. Focus on what is really important, how to achieve it and try to let go of the noise surrounding each one.
- Single-task. Stop multi-tasking. Focus on one activity at a time and don’t jump from one task to another. Try and achieve three tasks per day, it is better to put 100% in, you won’t be able to do that by stretching yourself too thin.
- Find pleasure in the small things. All too often we are thinking about our next holiday, our next career goal, our next home. So much so, life passes us by and we miss a huge chunk of it. Slow down and enjoy a Sunday walk, reading a book by the fire or the little moments you have with your parents or friends. A good dance in the kitchen to your favourite song is also a mood-booster.
- Breathe. When you find yourself stressed and exhausted, take a moment to breathe. Feel the stress going away. Meditate at the weekend or book in a massage, anything that will relax you and help you fully indulge in the moment.
- Good things, good life people, good people. 80% of our time is dedicated to work and being in an office. It can be easy to drift and struggle to find time to enjoy yourself. It is crucial though, embrace the good people in your life and start creating a positive aura. People will feed off your energy and soon enough, you will be enjoying your life that bit more.
