Though strictly an American holiday, London has embraced this tradition with open arms. With a huge number of US expats living across the pond, it is no surprise that an array of London restaurants choose to celebrate the main culinary festival of the States. Usually Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November but this year it is the 23rd November. With the Christmas rush right around the corner, relax, put your feet up and have a fabulous time.
This luxurious grill in Grosvenor Square is giving its regular menu an American twist. From roast turkey, caramel pumpkin pie, cranberry stuffing and buttered sprout tops, it is set to be a very traditional experience.
This Thanksgiving at the Big Easy you can have a choice, either a pit-smoked turkey served with stuffing, cornbread, mashed sweet potatoes and green bean casserole, or a self-styled ‘lobster fest’ (£10 supplement) featuring whole lobster, lobster roll or lobster mac ’n’ cheese. It is all served family-style and accompanied by squash soup or caesar salad, and banana cream or pumpkin pie.
This Thanksgiving will be extra special at Morton’s. Guests can enjoy an exquisite three course menu including some Thanksgiving favourites too. There will also be live entertainment in the form of Oriana, which is a favourite on the jazz scene, combined with the beautiful dining hall which will be fully festively decorated.
This Thanksgiving, the Goat and Chelsea Prayer Room will be hosting an eventful day. The restaurant offers a set menu for £35. Thanksgiving classics are available, such as cornbread stuffing and pumpkin pie. Hurry though, this one will be popular so you will need to book. Never underestimate a good meal and a good dance to follow, bring your cowboy hats too.
Breakfast Club will be hosting a three-course feast this Thanksgiving. The meal starts with a butternut bisque, served with jalapeño and coriander cornbread, followed by Norfolk turkey roasted in beer and bacon along with hasselback potatoes (or mac ’n’ cheese for the meat-averse), and finished with pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream. £28 per person. Make sure you purchase tickets for this event though, we have no doubt there will be queues out the door.

Don’t forget, Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate with friends and family. However, it is also about giving thanks and being grateful for all of your blessings.
