Summer Festival Fashion

Good day Scriptoeris readers and welcome back to another month of fun-filled fashion advice! It’s coming to the end of summer (did we hear a weep?) and it’s festival season so we thought why not treat you with our top 4 must-haves plus tips!

Rule number one – Always bring a rain coat. This is totally a mother comment but it’s so true, trust us we have done it. You don’t have to go all out-doorsy on yourself, there are some totally cool and lightweight jackets around and you’ll be feeling so smug with yourself when it does rain (and it will). Channel your inner Paddington Bear with the ASOS Rain Mac With Henna Print, or play it cool with the ASOS Festival Drape Parka, and thank us, and your mums later.

Rule number two – Invest in a good pair of shoes. Wellies have and always will be a huge festival must-have, but get a pair that fit. Girls have lost wellies in the must numerous times (we’ve seen it), plus you will be walking and dancing A LOT so you might want to get a pair that fit! If you’re feeling spendy, treat yourself to Hunter’s Original Gloss wellies (did someone say fashion statement?), and if youre on more of a budget, Joules Wellyprint’s are pretty darn snazzy!

Rule number three – Take a good bag. Lets go through the checklist. Phone? Sunglasses? Money? Important documents? Food? Suncream? These all need to fit in a bag – a secure one. Festivals may be fun but it’s not fun when you lose your posessions! Long shoulder bags are the way to go as they are attached to you, but small enough to carry around all day! Asos’s Monki Annie Bag is totally cute and an amazing fashion statement, and if you’re looking for something a little more plain, why not pick up the same one in black – Monki Annie Double Compartment Zipped X Body Bag.

Rule number four – Take a couple of tops. The likelihood is that the weather will be changing so it’s a great idea to have a couple of different easy tops to throw on! They are light and easy to pack and great to just change up! The ASOS Vest with Drop Armhole in Aztec Print is super cute and with that boho look, you will have no problem fitting in with the festival vibe. For the slightly chillier hours why not try a checkered shirt? Try Topshop’s oversized check shirt – Easy to wear and totally cool on or around the waist.
