Long after the chimes at St. Ann’s,
Red or blue, united we’ll stand,
Where knowledge and song were first delivered,
You can’t divide us, we fight together,
There is no beauty in these words,
You stole lives, this horrific act has shaken our world,
As we take to silence in our towns,
We then turn to song, collectively and loud,
We don’t look back in anger of fear,
You won’t have our sorrow, you won’t have our tears,
In this dark hour, we turn to our neighbours and comfort them with strength,
Your plot to break us was a failed attempt,
A black heart takes over our screens and balloons fill the sky,
Our Mancunian spirit will neither fade nor die.
