More often than not, something happens in our life that has a terrible impact. Well, there are some simple ways you can change your mood and go from being a glass half empty person to half full.
Have a treat ready
Whether it be your favourite dessert or bottle of bubbles, make sure it is readily available for really bad days. Chocolate has been proven to release endorphins and make you happy. So go and buy a bar of your favourite chocolate and sit and savour every luxurious moment of it. Never forget though that in order to have a healthy life you need to consume everything in moderation.
Work out
The gym is 100% your best friend when you need a lift in your life. Going to a class, for a run or lifting weights can massively improve your mood. The gym is a great way to build confidence and self esteem as well as a booty. If you don’t feel like going out, you can always have a dance party at home. Plug your headphones in, turn the station up and dance it out.
Netflix and chill
If going out just is not your thing, get into your pyjamas, into bed and binge watch a series. Make sure it has great reviews or has been recommended to you by a close friend.
Call your friends
If down, call up a friend, share your takeaway and have some free therapy. It is important to remember that there are people who care about you and want to help you and make you feel better. If like me you can be slightly pessimistic it is always good to surround yourself with people who are positive and will build you up not tear you down.
Change your diet
If feeling blue, buy foods that are high in serotonin such as kiwis, cherries, pineapples and bananas. Tryptophan can also help and is found in proteins such as turkey, fish, chicken, cottage cheese, nuts, cheese, eggs, and beans.
Game like a girl
Have some game time, whether it is on a play station, Xbox, candy crush or even Sudoku. Find a game that distracts you from the things that are playing on your mind. However, always remember everything in moderation.
